Green to Clean

green to clean

Green to Cleans can be a task many home owners do not want to take on themselves so we are here to help. There are a few ways to take a pool from Green to clean . They can be done with chemicals and filter cleaning, to drain and cleans. The green to clean we will talk about today is done by chemicals and filter clean up. A green to clean can take anywhere from a couple days to a week or so. Sometimes it will depend on what kind of filter is on your pool. The best one for this task would be a DE filter. ( Diatomaceous Earth ) In this case, we temporarily cut out the customers cartridge filter and then installed our 48 sq ft DE filter.  In doing this, we have full suction from the skimmer, main drain and filtered water returning through the pool return lines for optimal circulation. The first 24 hours we added four jugs of liquid chlorine and some mustard eliminator, brushed the walls and back-washed the filter seven hours after that. Continuing to run the filter overnight, back-washing it again first thing in the morning. Make sure that after each back-wash you add DE powder back into the filter. That afternoon we vacuumed the pool to waste,  brushed the walls and floor,  back-washed and added more liquid chlorine running the filter overnight again.  On the second morning just 48 hours after we started working on this pool, the water was crystal clear, looking very inviting!  We then removed our DE filter and reinstalled the cartridge filter, balanced all of the other chemicals in the pool and now maintaining it on a weekly basis. In this case it only took 48 hours of circulation, some chemicals, a little work and we have a beautiful,  perfectly balanced, swimmable pool with very happy customers. ENJOY!
